How to create RFC Connection in ECC 6 & BI

  1. Execute SM59 Transaction on BI server to configure RFC for ECC server.

  2. Click on create button to create new RFC connection

  3. Enter RFC destination name [<System ID>CLNT<Client>] & other information’s

  4. Enter the following information on “Logon & Security” Tab

  5. Press Save button.

  6. Now test the RFC connection
    1. Click button “Connection Test” if everything is OK you will get the following result.

    2. Click button “Unicode Test”

    3. Execute the “Authorization Test” as below

      If you receive below message it means RFC connection is OK.

    Note: You have to follow the same process on ECC server to configure RFC for BI server
