Logistic Data extraction from ECC 6 to BI

Steps in ECC:

  • Use TCODE: RSA5 to activate Data Source
  • Expand the tree search Data Source

  • Double click if got any search result

  • Select the Data Source & press “Activate DataSources”

  • To check the Data Source is activated or not, Go to RSA6 & search the data source if it exist it means Data Source is activated.

  • Data Source exist getting 1 hit

  • Once Data Source activated, check the records in Data Source by using TCODE: RSA3 (Extractor checker)

  • Records exist for extraction

  • Click on to see the records

  • Click on any line item to see the detail records

  • We need to delete the old data from setup tables before re-extract. Use TCODE: LBWG

    Note: How to know the application

    • Use TCODE: LBWE

  • Select Application “02 Purchasing” & Execute

  • Receive the message

  • Now Check again by using TCODE: RSA3
  • Received 0 record found. It means data deleted from setup tables

  • There is another method to check. Use TCODE: SE11 and give the communication structure name of the DS followed by word SETUP.
  • Now the question is how to get communication structure name
  • Use TCODE: LBWE [MC02M_0HDR: Extraction Purchasing (Header)]

  • OR Click on Data Source Name “2LIS_02_HDR”

  • Database table name become (Comm. Structure name + SETUP) = MC02M_0HDRSETUP
  • Use TCODE: SE 11, Enter Database table name: MC02M_0HDRSETUP and click Display button

  • Click on content button

  • Click on “Number of Entries”. Again Received 0 record.

  • Note: Structure customization I will try to put in different post.
  • After the setup table’s records deleted, if any changes in structure make sure that the generated queue, if present, has to be cleared and deleted.
  • The queue can be deleted by using TCODE: RSA7

  • Now filling the setup tables
  • USE TCODE: SBIW
  • Settings for Application-Specific DataSource (PI)
  • Logistics
  • Managing Extract Structures
  • Initialization
  • Filling in the Setup Table
  • Application-Specific Setup of Statistical Data
  • perform setup – Purchasing (my case)

  • Or Use TCODE: OLI3BW to fill the purchasing records
  • Note: above TCODE generated as OLI*BW, here * is number i.e. 2 is for purchasing document, 7 is for old documents for orders
  • Enter Name of run, future date for Termination date & execute

  • Now check data is loaded to setup tables or not by following the same steps as we did to check the data deleted or not.

Steps in BI

  • USE TCODE: RSA1
  • Modeling Tab
  • Double click on your source system

  • Search Data Source “2LIS_02_HDR”

  • Select Data Source, right click & click on “Replicate Metadata”

  • Activate Data Source
  • Right click on Data Source & create Info Package

  • Enter Info Package name & press Save

  • Under update tab select full update & under schedule Tab click “Start”

  • Here you can see the status of your request.

  • To see the data in PSA click on
  • Select any line & press continue

  • Data under PSA
